Jermeen Sherman combines the best of strategic and analytical thinking from the
business world with an unrelenting commitment to equity-focused systems change as a
social impact consultant. She leverages more than 10 years of cross-sector expertise in
management consulting, business development and program design to help
organizations be of service to vulnerable communities, implement strategic initiatives,
and scale positive outcomes. Having worked in and alongside executive teams in
consultancies, community-based organizations, universities, and municipal government,
Jermeen has diverse experience helping organizations better serve under-resourced
and minority communities to advance equity.

Prior to joining Black Ambition, Jermeen founded Community Up, a social impact
consultancy; worked as a Director at Third Sector Capital Partners; served as a Chief of
Staff at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services; and led
business development and continuing education program design at several universities.
In each role, she led a variety of strategic initiatives from strategy through action and
results. Jermeen has a BA in philosophy and history from Emory University, an MA in
mass communication from Georgia State University, and an MBA with a specialization
in social impact from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
