Liza Mickens is a Richmond native and 2019 graduate of James Madison University. As the great, great-granddaughter of Maggie Lena Walker, she has represented her family's historical legacy for over a decade. She connects the past and the present as a storyteller and now works as the Social Media Coordinator for Virginia Tourism Corporation.
